Chelle is a twenty-five-year veteran of independent schools both as a teacher and administrator.
Chelle’s work has included training faculty to use best practices to challenge students every day while also encouraging them to provide opportunities for autonomy, competence, and relatedness. Her work designing “one-campus initiatives” has laid the foundation for both the emotional and intellectual merging of divisional cultures required for singular success.
Chelle was an administrator and teacher at Louisville Collegiate School (KY), where she founded the Glenmary Academy, the city’s only independent school program for Upper School-aged non-traditional learners who wish to attend selective colleges and universities.
A prolific writer and presenter on a variety of topics in independent school education,
Chelle earned a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and a master’s degree from George Washington University’s Graduate School of Education. She and her husband,
Chad, have three sons.
