I am delighted to announce that Seth Kushkin will be Tower Hill's next Athletic Director. Seth joins us from the University of Denver, where he is
the associate head coach of the women’s basketball team and served as
the assistant women’s basketball coach from 2012-2015. At the University
of Denver, he developed creative strategies for building a talented and cohesive team, collaborated with the head coach on game scheduling and practice planning, and ensured team activities complied with NCAA, conference and college regulations. He provided academic support to
help the program maintain a team GPA ranked in the Top 15 of all Division
women’s basketball programs, among other accomplishments. He has also been an assistant women’s basketball coach at Auburn University, Georgia
Tech, Ohio State and Purdue University. Seth’s experience also included independent schools.
From 2003-2005, Seth was Athletic Director and Physical Education Department head at the Laurel School in Cleveland, Ohio, a nationally recognized K-12 day school for girls. At Laurel Seth managed middle
and high school coaches and teams and oversaw the physical education faculty. He launched a booster club, hall of fame and golf outing, assisted
student-athletes in navigating the college-recruitment process, brought a large lacrosse tournament to campus, and implemented athletic clinics for lower and middle school students. He also directed basketball camps, coached women’s basketball and taught English and social studies at McDonogh School in Baltimore, Maryland.
He attended The Columbus Academy and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.A. in English. Seth will move to Wilmington this June with his wife and two daughters.
