Associate Vice Provost and Director of Athletics & Recreation at Johns Hopkins University

Jennifer assumed her role on August 6, 2019, and has since led Johns Hopkins to remarkable success in athletics and beyond.

 

Under Jennifer's guidance, Johns Hopkins has achieved unparalleled success, despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. In just four years, the university's teams have clinched five national championships, secured 45 conference titles, and earned their first Learfield Directors’ Cup title in 2022-23. Notably, Blue Jay athletes have garnered 14 national championships, 13 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships, and 82 CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.

 

Jennifer's strategic vision has been instrumental in shaping the future of athletics at Johns Hopkins. She spearheaded the development of a comprehensive strategic plan focused on Competitive Excellence, Student-Athlete Experience, and Community Building, aligning with the department’s mission to “Be More.”

 

Prior to her tenure at Johns Hopkins, Jennifer held key leadership roles at Under Armour and Cornell University, where she demonstrated her commitment to excellence and innovation. At Under Armour, she managed corporate real estate, facilities, and operations, while at Cornell, she played a pivotal role in overseeing athletic facilities and launching leadership development programs for student-athletes.

 

Jennifer's passion for leadership extends beyond the university setting. As a co-founder of Athletics Leadership Consulting (ALC), she is dedicated to making leadership development accessible to athletes, coaches, and organizational support staff.

 

Jennifer's impressive background includes a degree in aerospace engineering from the United States Naval Academy, where she excelled as a member of the women's lacrosse club team. After serving in the Navy as a pilot and facilities engineer, she furthered her education with an MBA and a master’s in mechanical engineering from Cornell University.

 

A Baltimore native with strong ties to the Johns Hopkins community, Jennifer's commitment to excellence and leadership is truly inspiring.
